JACKSON, Tenn. -- The City of Jackson, TN Mayor’s Youth Council is hosting a fundraiser for the Jackson Animal Care Center as their project for the year.
Most dogs and cats are brought to the animal care center with injury, disease, and infection and the Jackson Animal Care Center treats all animals for those needs and updates those animals’ shots, so they can not contract those diseases in the future and this allows that animal to be adopted by a loving family.
The Jackson Animal Care Center spays and neuters all of their animals to prevent future owners from potentially breeding those animals and creating liters, which could possibly be abandoned on the street.
“I’m thankful for the Mayor’s Youth Council choosing the Jackson Animal Care Center for their fundraising efforts,” said Jackson Animal Care Center Director Whitney Owen. “This will greatly help us with our veterinary care, and spay and neuter expenses.”
The fundraiser will be held through the month of April. Donations can be dropped off at the Jackson Animal Care Center, any Jackson-Madison County Schools High School, University School of Jackson, Leaders Credit Union, HomeLife Academy, or Jackson City Hall Revenue Office or via the PayPal link on at http://youthcouncil.jacksontn.gov
