Mayor Conger Announces 2020 Grand Marshals
Jackson, TENN— Although the City of Jackson transitioned the annual parade into a concert, the city will still recognize the parade grand marshals for 2020 – Kim Tedford, James Ross and Dr. Marlon King.
Kim Tedford is the regional director of the Jackson Madison County Health Department.
James Ross is the chief executive officer for West Tennessee Healthcare.
Dr. Marlon King is the superintendent for Jackson-Madison County Schools.
“Locally, I think we’ve handled this pandemic to the best of our abilities with the resources that we have and that wouldn’t have been possible without the exemplary leadership displayed by Kim, JR and Dr. King,” said Mayor Conger. “There’s no question that their resilience and dedication saved lives.”
All three honorees will be recognized during the Hub City Christmas Concert on Monday, December 7. The concert will be televised on EPlus TV Channels 6 & 206 HD and also livestreamed at www.eplustv6.com at 7 p.m. which will include the Christmas tree lighting as well as local artists performing your favorite Christmas songs. Artists include Nathan Shoemaker, Rita Mac & Different Drum, Dylan Crabb, and LOLO.
This year’s Hub City Christmas Concert will honor frontline and essential workers. Festivities will be hosted by Mayor Scott Conger and Josh Robinson.
