JACKSON, Tenn. – The Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center is sponsoring a Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest.
One winner from each age category will be chosen:
- 5 to 12 years of age
- 13 to 17 years of age
- 18 years of age and over
Deliver your carved pumpkin to the Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center, 314 E. Main Street on Friday, October 28 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Guidelines:
- One entry per person
- Pumpkins will not be provided
- All pumpkins must be carved and completed upon arrival
- Pumpkins must be carved. Painting and accessories may be added to accent the carving design.
- Include battery-operated lighting. Open flames will not be allowed.
Winners will be notified late Friday afternoon and announced at the Halloween Night performance of Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. All entries will be on display in front of the Ned on Halloween night.
