JACKSON, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, premiered its new efforts to communicate to the community via the new “East Main: 101” video series and podcast facilitated by City of Jackson, TN Communications Director Kenneth Cummings.

“I am excited to premier the new weekly series, “East Main: 101” to our followers and subscribers,” said Cummings. “I hope to bring more light to not only the organization of city government but also to the city employees who work for our organization.”

“East Main: 101,” which is slated to premier each Thursday, is a play on the term for general education courses such as “English: 101” and the address of city hall, 101 E. Main St.

“We are excited about the upcoming 'East Main: 101' podcast. Kenny has worked tirelessly to ensure this content educates, engages, and inspires Jackson residents in the matters of city government services and information about the people who work for our organization,” said Mayor Scott Conger. “I am proud of the direction we’re headed and this podcast is just a glimpse of what it looks like to move our city forward.”
