City of Jackson to host 10th Community Clean-up Day

The City of Jackson’s Health and Sanitation Department will host its 10th Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Public Works Yard, located at 164 Conalco Drive.

This bulk waste disposal event provides residents with an opportunity to properly discard large household items that are not typically collected through standard waste services. Accepted items include tires, mattresses, furniture, and other bulky items weighing over 50 pounds.

For the first time, the Jackson Recycling Public Education Program will offer free paper shredding for all participants, made possible through the TDEC Recycling Equipment Grant. Additionally, the first 20 residents to participate will receive a FREE large tarp.

Event Guidelines:

  • Open to City of Jackson residents only
  • No commercial drop-offs allowed
  • Limit 6 tires per vehicle
  • Furniture (including recliners and sofas) will be accepted
  • No appliances with Freon or refrigerants
  • No hazardous waste accepted
  • Free paper shredding provided by the Jackson Recycling Public Education Program (Shred truck partially funded by TDEC
