JACKSON, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, TN and Mayor Scott Conger welcome Trey Smith back home on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., following his Super Bowl LVII Championship win with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Words can’t express how excited I am to come home and celebrate the Super Bowl LVII win with my Jackson, Tennessee Family! I would like to thank Mayor Conger, the University School of Jackson, and the City of Jackson for always supporting me as both a person and a National Football League Player,” said Smith. “It’s always an honor and a privilege to represent the city I call home and love. May this Super Bowl LVII win be yet another of many for us to celebrate! I look forward to speaking during the celebration at City Hall.”
“We are excited to welcome Trey back home to Jackson, TN as our city’s newest Super Bowl Champion. He continues to have an amazing career in football,” said Mayor Scott Conger. “He is an inspiration to many in our city including students in our local public and private schools. We look forward to honoring and hearing from him this Friday at City Hall.”
Smith, a 2017 graduate of University School of Jackson, was a 5-star recruit, ranked #1 by ESPN. During his football career at USJ, Trey received the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Lineman of the Year in 2015 and 2016 for Division II-A.1

Smith is also a former University of Tennessee at Knoxville football player where he played all four years. Smith received numerous awards from the University of Tennessee including 2017 Freshman All-American, 2018 Community Service Team, 2019 All-SEC First Team, 2020 Pat Summitt Ignite Greatness Award, 2021 Tennessee Torchbearer Award and many others.2
Smith joins Ed “Too Tall” Jones (SB-XII, Cowboys), Trey Teague (SB-XXXIII, Broncos), and Jabari Greer (SB-XLIV, Saints) as NFL players from Jackson to have won Super Bowl Championships.
